Put it this way, no manager on 1st July would think i'll wait until September to pick up a couple of free agents to improve the squad. Obviously we couldn't compete for decent targets so ended up just taking a punt on the 2 Finns to fill the squad.

Luckily Howson only missed 1 match (due to suspension) until he picked up the injury against Millwall in December. Clayton also had a fantastic appearance record. Then when Howson was sold, Brown was finally match fit and also managed a run of games. A bit of bad luck would have seen Mika with an extended run in the team.
