Smart move from Van Persie?...

Seeing as 99% of arsenal fans on here want rid of him and call the the fans who are willing to forgive and forget 'fickle'...

But how many of you actually see it as a smart ploy from van persie to get the board to put their hands in their pockets..

- He's an arsenal fan
- Longest serving player at the club
- Probaly the only player to have the balls to speak out

I believe that he'd love to win stuff at arsenal rather than anywhere else

A lot of you think that he's using his 'one good season' to get a move away, but could he not be using it as an advantage to engineer some transfers? So far it's worked....

Couldn't you argue that we couldn't sign better players because seeing him leaving means players see us as a sinking ship and turn away from us.

We haven't signed anyone yet since the RVP letter, but whilst I'm still sceptical about Sahin, let's assume it happens.

Neither of those players would have been affected by RVP doing this. Both have been long term targets of Wenger, and them being available is the only reason we are looking at them, not just because RVP tried to make the club look pathetic.

Bolox, and if you seriously think so then you know nothing about Arsene Wenger's mentality and previous transfer signing attempts.

Are you suggesting van Persie "Punk'd" Gazidis?

How many times have you seen wenger sign what looks to be 4 quality players in the same transfer window...never! Funny enough it comes when his captain & best player calls for top players or he leaves...

When else have you seen Cazorla available for £18 million and Sahin available on loan, of even players of similar ability?

I personally think that the board got too comfortable as our players were too quiet but suddenly the captain calls for some ambition, perfectly timed when the fans are calling for gazidis to get out

Cazorla is worth far more than £18 million, and we're on a shoestring budget. What player, of his quality, has been available for that price?

The captain didn't call for ambition either, he said we have none and he wants to leave. Insulting our manager, the fans who have stuck with him, and his team mates. He was a proper , and nothing less

If Gazidas and Wenger had convinced him at that meeting that they meant business, he would have signed. If you want to get angry with anyone, get angry with the board. Also, if it was only RVP that had done this, you might have a point, but look how many others before said the same thing before giving up on a club with little real ambition.
