Hey Stretta, you might want to explain to your acquisitions panel how to work out fee reductions like the one above.

Obviously, you won't need quite as many 0's on the end.

I worked it out in my head a different way:

If it was a 70% reduction, we paid 30% ie.£1.5m

10% is therefore £500,000, multiplied by 10 equals £5m

Q.E.D.

I sit corrected but then I only ever have to add on and deduct percentages in my job, in other words my contract price including/excluding GST (same as VAT) plus/minus GST or margin.

My maths has never been the best, I can only normally count hat-tricks ha ha!!
