Gunners table offer for M'Baye Niang

http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/1129419/arsenal-table-offer-for-caen-forward-m'baye-niang?cc=5739

Is this the second bid?

I thought we had one knocked back already, in which case this is a new and improved offer.

Has anyone told Arsene that it would be unwise to field 11 attacking midfielders/forwards this season?

It's not unwise! It's ingenious! Think about it, they won't be able to attack us if the ball is in their net for 99% of the game.

From what I've read, I think Caen have accepted our offer but they want the full payment up-front, which we can't offer because we still have too many deadwood!

And now Milan are interested too. I guess we can say goodbye to Niang...

It's going to have been all for Niang!

His a youngster, and a french one. If he goes anywhere else, I would be surprised.

He clearlly stated that he wants to join AFC. But he is only 17 as you mentioned, don't underestimate the power of agent and club, specially at that age.
How many football players have been given the wrong advices from clubs and agents?

Indeed, we all know AFC are not big spenders and Italy may offer more. Easily swayed. Only time will tell

From what ive read also, Caen want all the money up front but Arsenal was a smaller fee up front with add ons later which is understandable just incase he turns into a flop.

Maybe we could go halfway and offer slightly more cash up front and the rest with add ons.

Well he compleated a trial, so staff, coaching team, and Wenger would have seen what he is capable off. And apparently they were impressed. hence the bid.

I heard a week later he was offered a trial by Spurs desparate trying to get in. And well Man City, had there trial by their scouts which was AFC really.

Think he might make a good squad player and future prospect. With Vela, Park, and Bendtner on there way out, Afobe on loan, guess Niang seems a good replacement option.
