Forgiving RVP

I know i ll probably get slated for saying this (I usually get slated for saying anything) but i think if RVP decides to stay we should forgive him & take him back in.

Here's why:
1. We cant deny that he is the main reason why we got into the top 4 last season. His goals singlehandly won us both matches & points we could have easily lost and for this reason we should forgive him. Remember that our status as a CL team has kept us still attractive to players like Cazorla & Giroud.

2. We need him to help out our two new stikers Giroud & Podolski to get their feet as they are both new to the fast-paced, hard-tackling EPL. Having to rely on 2 EPL-inexperienced strikers didnt sit well with me as a fan, as knew the presence of a proven EPL striker to lead them would definitely help them settle down quicker & take alot of pressure off them. Also we have pratically been creaming over the potential strike force of Pol-Giroud-RVP....i know City, Utd & Chelsea will all have to sit up & notice us.

3. For the first time in years, we have (at least for now) a very very decent strike force, and very soon we would be also getting a very very decent midfield. I feel RVP's presence in this squad will have a huge impact in us breaking our trophyless spell. I bet players like Theo, Ramsey, Song & Kos will have their spirits lifted to have their captain back.

I think RVP deserves another chance with us. He needs us as much as we need him. He should be stripped of the captaincy but he should be let back into the team.

There's no need for you all to suddenly jump on him and start accusing him of constantly chatting BS.

There's no accusations just acknowledgement that he does.

"Forgive him for what, saying the club lacks ambition?

I think everyone knows and has known for years that the board lack ambition and is only interested in finishing 4th and bank balance."
==

How do we lack ambition?

We can't compete with teams like Man City and Chelsea when they're spending hundreds of millions every summer.

And Bloscar09, he spends most of his time WUMing his own fans, you don't exactly expect us to be reasonable with him, do you?

I'm sorry but if 95% of your articles are designed to wind up your own fans, don't expect a friendly reception when you post a non-WUM article once every two months.

please forgive arsenal and their cheapskate manager who continues to put poor players like diaby around you . and who continually sells players that would help improve the team. I understand where you are coming from. good luck either way , rvp, you are a legend, unlike that sellout fabregas, who was undersold by our doofus manager, who should have made him run out his contract and or got proper value

Bloody hell, talk about a mob mentality. You might not agree with everything lawrento says, to be honest I don't either, but he's entitled to his opinion. There's no need for you all to suddenly jump on him and start accusing him of constantly chatting BS.
-------
I always find it weird when people who don't understand what free speech is try to defend it. If lawrento is entitled to his opinion, why don't you think everyone else is? If we all think he constantly talks bs, why don't you think we're entitled to express it? This is a forum - anyone that posts an article invites debate of their article. Lawrento doesn't seem to mind that everyone thinks he's dim; if he did he'd stop posting the same article every day.

Well to be honest I'm not too aware of lawrento's article posting history, I've based what I've said here on this article and this article alone, which seems to me to be a perfectly legitimate article, not a WUM. And objectivefan, of course everyone on this forum is perfectly entitled to express their disagreement with him, what I dislike is this sudden bout of bandwaggon-jumping that seems to brake out, as it quickly descends into personal insults. I don't need you to tell me what free speech is.

It's not bandwagon jumping. Everyone has independently made their mind up that his posts are generally terrible.

I'm desperate for Van Persie to stay anyway and I have not turned my back on him unlike everyone else. If Van Persie stays I will cheer his name loudly and hope he can continue banging in goals and winning us the title next season

I sincerely doubt that. Maybe that can be said to be true of the first couple who posted claiming that his posts were terrible, but I just don't see the need to repeat it when 6,7 people have already said it.
