Ajax

_____________Vermeer________________
_______Luisao_____R.Ferdinand______
Rafinha_______________________Capdevila
________A.Diarra____Granero____________
Mirallas_______Sneijder________A.Young
_______________M.Klose________________

Atletico Madrid

------------------------Reina
Azpilicueta ---Godin--Domínguez--Marcelo
--------------------Lucas---Alonso
---------Hulk-----------Villa----------Ribery
-----------------------Drogba
Sub:
Miranda, Boruc, Pulido, Prajnic, Adriano, Kewell, Davis

A front four to rival any. Ribery and Hulk will look to get on the ball and run at the defence. 4-4-2 with Villa playing alongside Drogba if needs be.

Alonso will dictate the game with probably the best range of passing in the league, whilst Lucas will look to retain posession and defend the back four.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Game 2: Porto vs. Liverpool (0-1 advantage. Predict as though game starts at 0-0)

Porto

----------------------------- Helton -----------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------
-- Pereira ------- Rolando -------- B Alves -- Coentrão
-------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------- Veloso -------- Banega ----------
-------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------- Gourcuff ----------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------
------------ Suárez ------- Higuaín ------ Rodriguez ---

Liverpool

----------------Courtois
Lahm----Kompany---Cahil----Cole
----------Gustavo--------Pirlo
--------------------Kaká
---------Di Maria-------Ronaldo
--------------------Tevez
Subs
Doni, Silva, Olic, Salvio, Flamini, Coady, Nelson

We'll look to keep the ball. With the quality in midfield we have we're very comfortable on the ball. Kaka will come deep to collect from Gustavo and Pirlo who will look to keep Porto's midfield out of the game. Ronaldo will have a free role to cut in and do whatever he likes to get on the score sheet.

Cole and Lahm, there's no one better in the league in their respective positions, will get forward and link with Di Maria and Ronaldo whenever possible and stick balls into the box to give Tevez something to feed off.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Game 3: Napoli v A.Bilbao

Napoli

------------------------De Sanctis------------------------
-Abate—-------Skrtel--------Cannavaro------Evra—
---------------------------Inler------------------------------
---------------Gerrard---------VdVaart-------------------
-Walcott-------------------------------------------Lavezzi-
-------------------------Llorente----------------------------

Subs: Kuszczak, Carragher, Gamberini, Senna, Hamsik, Adebayor, Pandev.

At home, we look to control the game. Free flowing passing. Skrtel attacks everything in the air, Cannavaro sweeps up and marks striker. Full backs support alternately, keep wingers on weaker foot. Inler anchors and dominates Fabregas. Gerrard has a free role to do what he does best. VdVaart is playmaker, creating chance after chance. Walcott and Lavezzi use pace against slow full backs, get in behind and cause problems. Llorente uses strength and pace to get past slow back four. Adebayor on for VdVaart if not winning on 70 minutes, go 4-4-2 and go for the win.

Athletic Bilbao

--------------------Abbiati-------------------
Zabaleta---Carvalho---Otamendi---Chivu
-------------------Martinez------------------
------------Fabregas------Ganso------------
-----------------------------------Muniain---
---------Cavani-------------------------------
---------------------Di Natale------------------

Subs: Iraola, Gibbs, Gallas, Emre, Susaeta, Giggs, Raul

Fabregas with a free role to roam and create, Zabaleta's work rate and energy will be crucial to support the attack from the right. The midfield is built to keep possession and Muniain's job is to be direct and run at the defence. Cavani to operate just behind Di Natale. Otamendi the dominant centre half with Carvalho sweeping up the rest. Chivu will keep his defensive discipline.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Game 4: Tottenham vs. PSG

Tottenham

-----------------Friedel

Balzaretti----Vidic----Agger----Clichy

-----------Parker-----Asamoah

Sanchez-------Iniesta----------Bale

--------------------Zlatan
Green, Dodo, Fryers, Muntari, Castro, Pogba, Naismith

Full backs will look to keep the wingers on their weaker foot, Vidic will go for aerial balls and Agger will look to get the 2nd ball, Parker and Asamoah will protect the back 4 and play it simple when they have the ball. the wingers will look to use their pace at the FB's, Iniesta will find space and look to work his magic. Ibra will look to drag the CBs out of position, allowing space for the others, but will attack the box if our wingers/full backs are in crossing positions.

PSG

--------------------------- Sirigu -------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------
Ivanovic -------- Puyol -------- Chiellini -------- A.Pereira
--------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------ Toulalan --- Khedira -----------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------
--- Pedro --------------- Pastore --------------- Nasri -------
-------------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------- Aguero --------------------------------

Subs
Menez
Gamiero
Matuidi
Montoya
Morata

A very fluid formation, often becoming a 4-4-2 with Nasri playing very high up and Pastore drifting to the right. Pedro and Pastore will both have free roles and look to target the weak RB. Aguero will act as a target man and link up with Nasri who will look to get in the box at every opportunity. Toulalan and Khedira will both protect the highly experienced back four and leave the attacking to our quality front four.
The 3 midfielders behind the strikers will rotate positions, looking to create space for each other and for Aguero. Aguero is great in front of goal so will look to get shots away.

Ajax 1-3 A. Madrid
Klose --- Villa
----------- Hulk
----------- Drogba

Ajax's team have improved a lot but they just do not have the quality jusy yet to beat teams like A. Madrid so a comfortable victory for the away side.

Porto 1-2 Liverpool
Higuain --- Di Maria
-------------- Ronaldo

Porto I think for this game couldn't deal with the 3 in midfield of Liverpool and were too attacking as they were caught out and Liverpool's front men do have the quality to punish them.

Napoli 2-0 A. Bilbao
Llorente x2

Napoli had a great game all around and were able to get past a slow defence of A. Bilbao withease. Chances were created from the home side over the top as llorente used his strength and pace to deal with the slow defence and slot past the keeper twice.

Tottenham 0-0 PSG

Both teams are very tight defensively. There was no real threat at either goal apart from a couple of half chances. Tottenham were allowed no space in midfield to create chances and there was no space for Tottenham to hoot up front. It was also a pretty asy day for the Tottenham defenders. A dismal game.

GAME 1
Ajax 1-3 Atletico Madrid
Klose - Ribery, Villa, Drogba

Both teams lacking in defence, but Atletico look stronger in midfield and attack. The front four combine well and Drogba, Villa and Ribery score. Klose with a headed consolation for Ajax.

GAME 2
Porto 0-1 Liverpool
Tevez

Both teams have quality and the game is a cagey affair. Both look to control the midfield battle but the teams have trouble in front of goal. Tevez scores the winner.

GAME 3
Napoli 2-1 Bilbao
Gerrard, Lavezzi - Cavani

Llorente and Cavani against their former clubs. Napoli try to control but Bilbao have a good midfield too. Midfield feed Cavani for the opener. But Walcott and Lavezzi run the fullbacks ragged, Theo sets up Gerrard and Lavezzi scores the winner.

GAME 4
Tottenham 0-2 PSG
Aguero 2

Iniesta provides the ammunition but Bale and Zlatan aren't firing. Pedro and Nasri's quick movement sets up Aguero to fire PSG to victory.
