Today i spoke to a friend of mine about Derby's transfer deals this summer and he told me several things.
Now this person is the son of a current football league manager.
He said that Jason Shackell and Shaun Barker have the same agent who he claims to know, he said that Barker was on 8k a week but because of his injury has accepted a pay cut to 5k.
The interesting bit with Shackell was that he was on 6k a week last season, with Barker taking a cut and Jason becoming captain and having such a good season he supposedly wanted a pay rise to 8k Derby obviously said no, Burnley got in touch and were prepared to offer him the 8k he was looking for so he left for that reason.
He also said that Coutts is a very good player and is a bargain!
Make of it what you want but he is very reliable when he manages to get any information. Thoughts?

It sounds like some kind of cover story to me, being let out by "an ex manager's son. But it might just br right given Derby's attempt at a logical pay structure.
Can anyone tell me why Tom Glick is still around the Derby County scene?

The reason I ask about Tom Glick is that I don't think it's healthy to have a Man City executive apparently running things at Derby.

Can't see that Glick still being at Derby is any more harmful now that he has been recruited by Man City than he was before. A liability is a liability whoever he works for.

Blooming hell,I'm getting a bit sick of all these "rumors" but I will give you some credit Clarke ram, some this story is true...................... Coutts is a good player!
Right! Footballers get a basic weekly salary of x amount and then come game time they get an appearance fee plus anything else written in their contract i.e. goal scoring or clean sheet.
Players will not take a pay cut when injured they just miss out on their bonuses and just receive their basic wage.
All clear? GOOD
