Scenario
Celtic sign a player and say he will get £1.2m after tax. overall cost to celtic would be £2million or thereabouts as they would pay his tax.
Rangers of old, do the same only don't pay his tax so it only costs them the original £1.2m freeing up more money for another player with the money saved by illegally witholding tax. Multiply this by the amount of ebts issued by old rangers , was it 60 odd players? Is this not an unfair advantage!!!
It has nothing to do with players winning fairly and squarely, as the likes of gough, dodds etc would have you believe.
If rangers had played by the rules, they would never have been able to afford the wages of even half the players back then, who scraped those titles by the occasional point or goal costing celtic numerous amounts of millions in terms of champions league money.
That to me is an unfair advantage no matter what any of the old rangers minded pundits try and dress it up as. And i am sure an independent panel will see it that way as well.
Do EBTS equate to an unfair advantage!
