Hello all. Does anyone else agree that Neymar is not worth a large amount of money?
Let me explain.
I'm not claiming that Neymar is a bad player. I do believe that he IS worth a large amount of money to one club (wink wink nudge nudge Barcelona) but not to Chelsea.
Oh the shock on the audience's faces!
Firstly, Brazilian strikers have never succeeded in the Premier League. I believe that Neymar is Robinho mark II. Robinho was regularly touted as a genius in his homeland and was told that he was better than Maradona. However, on moving to Europe was found out. They are very similar players, and both have the same attitude problem. The style of the Premier League does not suit the agile silky striker; you only have to look at the recent great strikers to see that they are built on power: Drogba, Rooney, Tevez, Ronaldo. Okay, I know that you will quote Torres, Aguero and Suarez to me but these three are far from the small figure of Neymar, and after all, put one of them in the wrong team and look what happened!
This style problem combined with the attitude problem, the pressures of a heavy price tag and big-name-move and a team that is still struggling to adapt to a proven Premier League striker and we have a disaster waiting to happen.
THAT ALL SAID (a necessary last paragraph in an attempt to stop the numerous one stars), if Roman offered my Neymar tomorrow I would snatch at it. The guy is too talented and gifted not to be very excited. However, there would always be that nervous feeling, and I doubt that I would be proved wrong.
Thanks for reading, please don't 1 star me just for disagreeing!
Appreciate the constructive comments
Neymar is not the answer to our problems.

Don't think he was happy with that at all. You don't necessarily need to be open at the ball to play attractive football. We just need to find a balance. I hope we sort out our cluelessness in the final third though. It bugs me when I see our players just literally look dumbfounded as to what to do next with the ball in front of a defence other than passing sideways

Not sure sideshow. Need to give Rdm time of course 10-15 games to get a first idea of where the team is heading

Neymar is quality. He's far more talented than Robinho ever was so it's a bad comparison.
Everyone knows the prem is a very physical league, but sometimes people talk about it as if it's the only one and other league are non-contact.
Brazilian football is very physical!
Ability will more often than not shine through. Silva, Mata, Aguero are examples of small talented players that weren't considered among the best in Spain (although still highly rated) and came here and tore it apart. It's because they're class. Neymar would do the same. I don't think Chelsea really need him anyway, but I don't think he should be questioned really. The guy has potential to be one of the best.
Also, on the style of play thing, I don't think it would take Chelsea as long as people may think to start playing an attractive brand of football. A lot of the players you've signed are technically very gifted footballers, and with this comes an attractive style usually.
City signed a lot of good players and went from being a fairly boring side to a very good attacking team quite quickly.

I ll answer without rubbishing your pointless article lol, jus kidding
No he ain't the answer, Ramires with romeu maybe Oscar o even a crazy thing such a giving jos m, a chance , playing as the two is our answer to everything,
chance
Rdm will get it horribly wrong in that position, he didn't even try anything different when it came to that position, mikel and lampard ain't gonna work, hope it does but it won't, no agility, pace, creativity,

If Chelsea could persuade Neymar ro come to the Bridge it will be the best thing to have happened since the arrival of Roman.
I suspect the OP feels the same way.

2 star so that your average rating increases. You can thank me later.
Neymar is probably the most talented player in the world after Messi and you're scared he won't make it in the PL because he isn't physical enough? The PL's physicality is so overrated it's unbelievable, people make it seem as if though the other leagues are entirely non contact.
His inspane speed, dribbling, balance, goal scoring abilities would be welcome to any team. He'll easily be our best player and will offer us something a bit different and direct to Hazard, Mata and Oscar. It doesn't matter if we need him or not, he'll clearly improve our team significantly and that's all that matters.
