Roy Hodgson RUINED Liverpool Football Club

The current England Manager (failing England Manager) is responsible for Liverpool losing a crop of first team stars that made Rafa Benitez's LFC one of the biggest challengers for Champions League honours.

Roy started with a good squad and his stifling tactics and unispiring man management resulted in the loss of players who were once proud to play for us Reds.

Shortly before this, Rafa should never have been sacked and what made it more sickening is the fact that he was sacked by owners who wanted nothing more than to get rid of the club and Rafa was sacked because of a feud. H and G had NO long term interest in the club and should have left that decision for future owners.

Roy started with:

Torres and Mascherano who both left after he was appointed as manager and although Torres left as Kenny came in, Roy had killed his love affair with LFC.

Roy had a side which looked like this:

Reina

Johnson
Skrtel
Agger
Aurelio

Mascherano
Lucas
Gerrard

Maxi
Joe Cole
Torres

AND HE FAILED.

Ludicrous

the club reinvested almost quadruple the amount for Kenny as opposed to Roy and we had the worst sea
son ever

Another person who struggles to appraise Hodgson's performance on its own merit, then.

How bad Dalglish was last season has absolutely nothing to do with Roy being an awful manager at this level, nor does it have anything to do with Hodgson's Jurassic tactics.

or you - another person so blinded by loyalty that you refuse to acknowledge one of, if not the worst season at Anfield for 100 years. one striker, hundred million reinvested, bad PR - It was a train wreck.

Hodgsons team were not playing well but the Kop took 2/3 months to start booing him.

Dalglish may be one of the clubs sons but lets not let that influence debate

Rafa was beginning to get Fergie's number and 08/09 should have been the start

It makes me understand why the word delusion is commonly used by our rivals or not.
People here defending Roy's tenure, do you remember Poulson, Konchesky. Only Raul would be worth remembering.
True Kenny is and will always be a legend but had an epic failure last season.
We have fallen so low getting good players is and will continue to be difficult hence resulting to loans to get good disillusione players looking to make impression.
The released players Maxi, kuyt,Aqua, aurelio had a yearly wage bill of £14m(over £500,000 a week). What was their combined appearances? How much would they have changed? Were they value for money!
The only thing that matters is that fsg should no save/cut on spending for savings sake, they should replace and buy/loan responsibly.
4th is atleast NOT next season.
End of runt!

I'm not letting anything influence me - Kenny was awful for the majority of last season and had to go. I said as much.

I can just see that Hodgson was worse.
