I thought it was he who proposed it as part of his "attempted buyout" a few years back, when he promised £5m as a transfer fund if successful?



The only thing that surprises me about this mooted deal is that the two parties would attampt to work together again when quite clearly there has already been a massive breakdown in their professional relationship.

Mostyn, why do you think they want Peter Gadsby on board? We've already had this conversation, it's cause of his expertise in that field, and you agreed with ,me that they are both here to make money, so how can he be a hypocrite? You make money, I make money. Lets get one thing right about GSE and Gadsby, GSE have been penny pinching, while Gadsby puts his money where his mouth is, and then sold the club on! That's business. Lastly, I wonder if Mr Gadsby has offered to borrow them (GSE) money to bring an experienced striker in?

No surprise here - the plaza was Gadsby's idea.

He's not on the DCFC board so no conflict of interest.

GSE for all their supposed money and individual success don't seem to know how to do anything apart from cut costs.

It is highly likely that they see PG as a potential suitor as and when they choose to sell. Best to keep him on side - he would be less likely to buy the club if they made a mess of his plaza idea.

This all makes perfect sense to me.

I can't see what the problem is with this partnership...
Its been mentioned that GSE seem to be penny-pinching yet Gadsby put his money in....Why did Gadsby sell to GSE? Because he had enuff of the Derby fans moaning he wasn't putting enuff money into the club.....Sometimes you have to be careful what you wish for....

I wouldn't underestimate the importance of that sentence – given some of the dodgy owners we (and many other clubs) have had over the years, I’d be very sceptical about a current board member’s company winning any kind of contract from DCFC.
