Bellamy set for Cardiff

So GBs best player in the Olympics and one of our best.attacking options is to be sold. Wait don't tell me an aging - class - player on a wage that reflects his talent is to be replaced by a young - cheaper - "hungry" player who maybe sold for a profit in a few years. . Look 2 + 2 equals 4.

Read my previous reply.
Anyway LFC is NOT team GB, Bellamy had some good games and some poor games but he is no saviour that some make out.

I have read dozens of your posts and commented positively as realbrit. You are optimistic for optimisms sake and thus rarely objective.
Come on surely his Olympic performance is only used as a barometer of his current calibre on the international stage. I am fully aware Liverpool is not GB but you have used Suarez' Uruguay performances I'm the past to convey your opinion of his class so don't be so pedantic with one of your own.
Nobody had called or implied Bellamy is a saviour but merely a class player who is to be sacrificed due to a cost cutting policy on older players.
They was my opinion and point. And it still stands.

It is reported in The Times that he was undergoing a medical at Cardiff today. If he goes, good luck to the man. JimmyTheRed

Return of GB

Ok, fair point; BUT, i would actually point to 27 games and the results from those as more proof to his ability in a red shirt than those 4 games you use in the blue of GB, i know you see there is no sense in comparing 4 games to 27; its surely the 27 games that is a true baramoeter to a persons success in a red shirt? agree?

Bellamys performance are not merely measured in goals and assists. Intelligent incisive running, selflesslychasing down the channels etc etc. If his leaving was due to goals and assists it woud be Downing or Carroll. No the decision is purely based on age and wage. Yes?

The Return of RB

Bellamys a decent player, too me if he wants to go thats fine; if BR wants hm out thats fine as well, who knows maybe he has a younger less inury concerned player waiting to come in.
I really dont see the problem letting him go, as i said he is a decent player but whos to say Downing wont actually start playing like we know he can? Whos to say Sterling wont make a bigger impact instead of playing Bellers?
What people forget is that to play other players like the youth (in the prem) they need to be part of the squad, and the squad has a limited number; maybe thats why at 33 and with his desire to play for Cardiff it was just natural that he left.

In my opinion it is purely age and wage. We have no experienced striker at out club now save Suarez who won't be played as a striker.
It's always nice to look on the brightside but not every decision our club makes is correct and we ate permitted to point this out.
I will reiterate, in my opinion this is part of a deliberate owner driven initiative of reducing cost and I will again reiterate a players worth should be measured on ability not age and wage.
