Wiki History Update

Just thought it was worth highlighting that Wiki has been updated to reflect that the club has officially retained its history.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rangers_F.C.

The Celtic fans were very quick to post the old link when the understanding was a bit grey.

Some points worth highlighting are as follows :-

"1873 (formed 1872)

Relaunched 2012"

"Rangers have won 54 League Championships, more top-flight national championships than any other club in the world.[8] They have won the Scottish League Cup 27 times – more than any other Scottish club – and the Scottish Cup 33 times.[9] Rangers have also won seven domestic trebles, more than any other club in the world.[10] In 1961, Rangers reached the final of the European Cup Winners' Cup, becoming the first British club to reach the final of a UEFA club competition. They have won the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1972, having been the runners-up in 1961 and 1967, and were also runners-up in the 2008 UEFA Cup Final."

Looks like wiki are on the ball!

i know people who genuinely thought that newco meant new football club

anybody with a splodge of common sense could see that a newco is not the same as a newly formed company,it is a newco designed to extend the legacy of the old company

also the small fact that a new club could not be admitted to scottish football at any level under any circumstances has been ignored by a lot of people with an agenda against rangers

some of the stuuf printed in the papers have been astonishing and mis-informed

Even over in Brazil they know the score :-

Emilson : "The club is famous in my country because it has such a strong history so it was an easy decision for me."

Even in argentina they know the score:

Messi : "It's incredible. Rangers didn't want to play football. Right from the start they went for anti-football and I'm left with a bitter taste in the mouth"

Pollocks Celtic fans are the only fans on the planet to believe the club died.

Any other league country a Newco is a non story and no one cares. The bitter agenda is what they live for. They are brought up with a chip on their shoulder and a heart and head full of hate.

The club share was also transferred by the SPL the other week as well, not that it needed to be to be the same club.
