YouTube Generation Fans

When Sir Alan Sugar helped SKY trump ITV's 'Sealed' Bid, I always thought £50 a month to watch Live Football on the telly wasn't too far away.

To be fair they did revolutionise the presentation, much of it enhancing the enjoyment, and in some cases the understanding of the game.

Of the many (ruinous) downsides, was the newly engaged 'Footy' Fan, boring the xxxx off anyone within earshot how 'We' have had 62% posession over the past 5 minutes...

What I didn't see was this coming:

The NextGen Suppporter : The Whopper 2.0

He picks up a link from www.TrumpedUpTransfers.com linking a Player to his Team (that he'd never actually watched live) and immediately navigates to YouTube to watch a Showreel of Santiago Blahblah-Sanchez.

5 Minutes of his Greatest Moments, lovingly put together avec Europop backing track, and despite the fact that he's 2 mins in he is still watching the 3rd replay of him blasting one into the side netting, Whopper 2.0 has seen enough, this is 'The New Romario'

2 seconds later and Wikipedia 'confirms' a €29M buy-out clause, but W2.0 knows that means nothing, he's clearly worth more than that on the open market, however, because his Club has a worlwide fanbase and an international scouting system can get him for £6M

Apparently Real Madrid wanted him but they already have Messi and they are too similar.

Bargain.
