great to kick off the season properly with a home game last night. Great atmosphere and some fantastic individual displays (McKay, Shiels & Little)

The fight back has begun

So, Celtic had 10,000 more fans at a televised game costing 2x the price compared to New Rangers, not on television playing thier first ever game at Ibrox?

Coop -

It would be Scotland v Morocco at France 98 all over again

You can only beat what's on front of you and I daresay that East Fife team would take about 5 off Aberdeen

So, Celtic had 10,000 more (official) fans at a televised game costing (1.33)x the price (for the unfurling of the flag, when even the away team managed to sell out their allocation) on a Saturday afternoon....compared to Rangers, not on television playing thier first home game of the season on a Tuesday night?

Pffffffffft

Can't really compare SPL Champions to a 3rd Division side but whatever.

Barcelona had a bigger attendance than Portsmouth last season, go figure

We are Rangers Super Rangers,
The Tims still despise us, we don't care...

The 38000 did not include pay at the gate ! They had to open the club deck to accomodate them and they were still poring in 15mins after KO.

I would have guessed there were about 42/43k there last night but it was hard to tell. I was very surprised at how busy the Club Deck ended up!

papa

read a few reports that club deck was closed but it was jumping last night from what i could see.

on a side note, how bad was the organisation of getting folk into the stadium?!

i qued outside the main stand for almost half hour to get into the broomloan due the fact that they didn't have a seperate que for folk paying on the gate and those with tickets. it was beyond a joke. same thing happened at the AC milan legends match
