I am fortunate enough to be going to the opening home game of the season vs City and i'm sitting in the upper centenary; right at the back! I'm a bit sceptical of what the view will be like up there, and so I was hoping if anybody who knows what it's like could give me an insight of what it is like at the back.
Also, what are the best seats at anfield (apart from middle of the kop)?
And the worst?
Cheers!

Fair enough. I think most of our fans weren't too concerned about that game to be honest as we had our mind set on the Champions League final.
Have to say I enjoy when Liverpool come to the Bridge. Your no louder than say Man United, Liverpool or Arsenal but you guys do have more witty and lyrical creativity in your songs which I like.

Yeah like f off chelsea.

I was at the cl semi final in 07 gullits and you were good in that game despite anfield being the loudest I've ever experienced, agger scoring early made us louder but the Chelsea fans still could be heard at times, one of the better away fans I've experienced, united had 7000 I think at the cup game last year they were loud but obnoxious and singing about hillsborough which wasn't nice. I was also sat next to the Newcastle fans the night Alonso scored from his own half and have to say they're the best fans I've experienced to date.
Was anyone on here at the group satge cl game in 07 v psv? I was in the Kop and we sang the Rafa song for 20 minutes straight it was unreal but absolutely knackering jumping up and down singing for that long, they were also great away fans I have to say and both sets of fans applauded eachother off at the end with the Kop chanting psv and the psv fans chanting Liverpool that was a great experience.

Was that Robbie Keane's first goal, and Gerrard's 100th? That was when I was sat in my worst ever seat so I didn't really hear anything other than Dutch nonsense for 90 minutes

Worst are in the main stand. Wooden seats still. Didn't enjoy sitting there against Brighton in the FA Cup last year, although winning 6-1 half the time I was off my seat, stood up cheering!

Fellars I'm over the main stand end of the Park end around 8 rows or so from the top.Good views but a right pain to get away from at the end of the game.A bloke a couple of rows back gives Neville grief from the first to 90th minute every game.Saying that he gives grief to almost every player on both sides too, only two who get no grief are bainsey and fellers

Only been to Anfield a couple of times, first visit I was in the Main Stand and stuck behind a pillar next to the away fans bout halfway up. It was bad, although as it was my first experience at the ground I was buzzing anyway.
Best seat I've had was versus Man Utd last season in the lower Cenetary stand eight rows up from the pitch and near the vicious away fans. Got to see their faces up close as Kuyt's winner brought them to tears.

Forgot they had the whole Anny road lower.
Funny story that day, two lads in royal mail gear asked if we were going the game as they wanted to know where to park... Thought that was weird how first timers got a ticket to the game.
Anyway showed em where and walked em to the ground, they refused to get a scarf or pins, not usual for first timers. Anyway learnt they were Mancs with tickets in the home end... Right up close to the Manc away fans in section MX!
A right afternoon they had, enduring abuse from their own support, unable to give their views on the situation while seeing their team lose...
When we'd done celebrating and left the ground their car was long gone!
What a wonderful anfield experience they had!
