now presuming kp follows through with his threat to walk away from england test duty who do you think should replace him?personally i would be looking to promote bell to 4 bring in morgan at 5 a like for like replacement someone who can take the game away quickly from the opposition with a quick 50/100 and with taylor at 6.the problem here is we play india away next and whilst i think morgan is the right man to face australia next summer i would not want to take him to india a face a wretched time against spin the way he did in the uae and have his confidence shredded to bits.are there any other candidates?heard good things about compton but only seen him play in the onedayers on sky.

As kp said, wait till the lords test finish, and we will all know what exactly kp is struggling with. I guess he will hold a press conference and talk about all his issues and etc. stop jumping to conclusions. trust me it wont be easy to replace kp, its never easy to replace star players who has served your nation for years. Ask WI, Pakistan and australia and soon India. they are still struggling to find replacements of their star players.

Viru, lets be honest, he is irreplacable.

maybe they will go with 5 bowlers ?
(i was going to spell 'bowlers' as KP says it, but in fact it's already spelled that way. weird ?)

The media are making too much fuss. He is unhappy over ECB's disclosure of certain things/events about him and he has every right to be disappointed with such exposure over the Board which on the other hand have strict penalties for players who 'over expose' in media.

I've always called for Taylor to play for England, he's the best batsman in domestic cricket and thankfully he has been rewarded.
But, I like Ben Stokes, he's a pretty strong batsman, who's naturally attacking, but can play that defensive game. But, because he can bowl too maybe England won't look towards him, but I defo would.

In Stokes and Woakes, we have 2 young and very capable all-rounders, and with Taylor already having a good first test, and the lad Hayles also knocking on the door, we have some decent prospects on the way into the team.

Time to cast KP aside once and for all.
Yes I know he is super talented (most of the time); but a year doesn't go by without him saying/doing something controversial that goes against the ethos of the great game of cricket.
With KP in the headlines it takes away a lot of the hard work & effort by the rest of the England team.
There's plenty of fresh talent out there- such a Woakes & Taylor. They have great potential & character that can only make the game better rather than what KP is constantly doing by bringing it into disrepute

He is staying and will play in all formats for us.
That is definitely great news with regards to english cricket and great news that he can finally get it in his thick skull that he does not run the game of cricket in England.
Now he needs to shut his mouth ( if that is possible) and try and save the series against South Africa, together with the other players.
I am glad he is playing for us and love his tattoo.

He will never get it through his thick skull that he doesn't run the game of cricket. The game will always be bigger than any individual. Goodbye K.P. now lets get on with it.
