Ledley up top?

Just thinking that the problem with our front line is that nobody is prepared to run the channels and inject some energy into the game. Ledley makes great runs, has got a good header and is a decent finisher too, all things we need right now that players like McCourt, Commons, Hooper and to an extent Stokes haven't got.

Until we find another striker at least

Do we need 2 strikers up top for Europe though? Will always go with one up. Stokes is poor but he will get goals in spl. Defender is still the priority.

4-2-3-1 with Ledley behind the striker. Yeah we know Commons should play there, but Ledley's built like a tank. none of the others (Commons,Stokes,Paddy) have his power and you need a good hard and strong guy in there.
It's worth a try as we aren't exactly scoring at will at the moment.

Ledley has got a great appetite for the game and is as honest a player as you'll get but leave him in midfield where he does his best work.

We either need to play 2 strikers or drop Hooper and buy someone else because he can't play as a lone striker, he needs someone near him to play off of.

Is Ki going?

I'd start listening to offers for Hooper

Ledley is great linking up from with a striker, getting in behind and making runs from deep. I'm not meaning an out and out striker, just further forward where he can run the channels because our strikers won't do that

Charlie I hope we don't sell him, he's needed for Europe. He just had a great Olympics though and we will probably sell if the money's right.

should have sold both hooper and ki for 6 mil each and spent the money on a top striker within that price. Only problem is though there are less options until we are garaunteed a place in the champs league
