Yeah that's fair comment.

I wouldn't have us down as contenders personally, but I've seen a couple of these types of reviews which put us right up there and I don't know if it's the pessimist in me borne from watching Town for 20 odd years that makes me sell us short or just because I think there are about 16 strong teams all in with a chance.

Play offs would be amazing but I'm not so sure, especially without another forward having signed as yet.

Have to say I almost laughed when I saw this a few minutes ago, then I actually read who you'd signed this summer. Clayton, Scannell, Lynch, Norwood and Gerrard are very solid signings, all good Championship players and if somehow you hold onto Rhodes you do indeed have a squad decent enough to challenge for the play-offs, though I think the likes of Bolton, Leicester, Blackburn and Wolves will occupy the top 6. It's just a shame we have to wait till the last game of the season to play you at the Galpharm, as a Barnsley fan I certainly have happy memories of the last time we played you there
