Seriously though, for the people complaining, what did he actually do wrong tonight? You're entitled your opinion if you can back it up.

Tonight's performance was fine.

Enrique did OK tonight....that's all. However, in my opinion I think we can do better. We are gonna have a lot of the ball this season and going forward a few too many moves grind to a halt. He is not desparate...just not great.

That is a good point Fred. There are no decent alternatives out there. The only options seem to lie within the club itself.....but I still watch him and cringe as it seems going forward he doesn't look like he has a clear idea what to do....and usually results in an aimless bustle through someone.

Enrique clearly has talent and decision making is something that can be taught so I think Enrique will be a vital player this season.

He was better today but the jury is still out on him.

Hmmmm...not so sure about that. He's an experienced player....you can either make footballing decisions or you can't....he can't.

He is strong and quick though and is more than good enough defending a one-on-one situation....I want a bit more though.

Personally did not think that he had a bad game, not a brilliant one but not a bad one neither, as previous guys have poste , who are we going to replace him with. Think back Red Men last season we were all saying he was the best thing since slice bread and the best value for money purchase we have had. If anyone in the team upset me tonight it was Shelvey, who lost the ball as much as Enrique. Still Joe Allen is on the horizon.
