Koumas

Regarding us being now lighter in the CAM position after Lines's injury, well The Star says that Jason Koumas will start training with us either tommorow or Monday, now again, I hasten to suggest that could he fill that void if we gave him a three month deal to cover for Lines then if successful give him a contract till the end of the season, think about it, im sure he wont command silly money and obviously theres no transfer or agent fee so it would a cheap short/long term solution to our Creative midfeild problem. I know he's not played professionally for over a year (i think) but he is a class player and im sure he could still do a job.

Again just a thought!

A good player on his day, got doubts about his motivation and fitness tho. I'd imagine lines will be back playing before Koumas is up to speed!

I'd like Stephen Quinn from the neighbours but can't see it happening. Otherwise maybe a youngster on loan from the premiership

Nice to see someone else putting aside the rivalry with Utd and making the suggestion of possibly Quinn joining us. Hes a good player who is very capable of playing in the Champ and too would welcome the chance of having him.

The only problem is he's ginger

Yeah that could be an option floyd probably more likely to sign a premiership youngster really.

Well I agree to an extent about his fitness as he has a history with injuries and also just recovered from an injury (hence the delay in him training with us) but if he's keeping fit then surely he's wanting to get back into the game, not sure though why he has been out of the game for a year, possibly coz of the injuries or had he lost the passion, im not sure but i reckon he's worth a temp contract to cover Lines if he still has that motivation.

And we all know what our recent history with Ginger players has been like but defo not as bad as JOC though so yeah I would mind Quinn here either, his bro cert wouldnt mind

Lines is a big loss-very frustrating. It will basically be Xmas before we see him again. It a big hole that needs the right man in and quick

Jones has let the trialists go so he clearly has someone in mind. The fact Koumas has been hovering around indicates he has a role to play...no surprises if he ends up starting in a few weeks time .

Oh god, we're going here again are we?

Trialists gone. Koumas only just starting training due to injury. I would be really underwhelmed if he is the answer. He's not even fit now and he's not played in god knows how long!

Dint play last season, and the season before on loan at Cardiff, he was injured for the most of it..

.. now at 33..

.. can the Massive rebuild him

Have to admit I was a bit suprised to see the trialist go so soon, especially with Lines injured

Were they that bad? Swerts had Belgian caps...

I have a feeling Koumas will be the man to fill Lines place. He just seems to be permanently injured and we really need someone reliable to play alongside Semedo..

This guy would be perfect if we have the draw to get him here. Semedo would take care of him.
