Bolton Wanderers wrap up their mediocre pre-season campaign this evening with a glamour friendly at the Reebok versus Barcelona 'B'.

For anyone who has had better things to do over the last few weeks, here is a summary of the pre-season results so far.

18th July Ayr United 1-1 Bolton Wanderers
21st July Hamilton Academical 2-0 Bolton Wanderers
25th July Falkirk 1-1 Bolton Wanderers
28th July Crewe Alexandra 1-1 Bolton Wanderers
1st Aug Morecambe 0-2 Bolton Wanderers
4th Aug Portsmouth 3-0 Bolton Wanderers
7th Aug T******e Rovers 1-3 Bolton Wanderers

If last Summer's last pre-season friendly versus Levante (0-1) is any indication, we will see little of the ball and be reduced to pot shots from outside the box by technically better players.

Barcelona is the 14th 'most livable' city in the world. It has a splendid cathedral, however tourists hoping to sample this architectural and cultural landmark must first run a gauntlet of filthy beggars and scroungers. It is the home of the global headquarters of the car manufacturer SEAT, but the fun does not end there; a Nissan factory can also be found within the city limits.

The Port of Barcelona is Europe's 9th largest container port. Among its many twin towns and sister cities is Busan in South Korea, Gaza in the Palestinian Authority and San Francisco, a druggie's paradise on the west coast of the USA.

"The Barcelona B team have been based in the Reebok Stadium's hotel for the last five or so days. During that time out academy players have attended a number of their training sessions, learning from arguably some of the best youth players in the world. Chatting to our younger lads earlier I'm reliably informed that this Barca team are unbelievable with the ball at their feet."

Well that appeared to be a good exercise after all. Barca B won 2-0 at Huddersfield in midweek and totally dominated.

Benny - going to have to be one of those score-more-than-we-concede seasons! Could be a lot of fun

It's funny the guys who posted the negative comments haven't said a word about a 2-2 draw, except for benny who states "no clean sheet again". It would seem that some of us are never positive when they can be negative.
