That's it. The real stuff starts now, so I was wondering who we might start and what formation against Burnley.
I think we will go 4-5-1 as we have played in most of our pre-season. Also, in the absence of a defensive midfielder as yet, I think a pairing of 2 from Andrews, Mavis or Pratley would be for too lightweight in a 4-4-2.
So, here's my pick:

I've tried to force a positive 4-4-2 out of what we have, but whatever I try makes me nervous.
Plenty of options form the bench.

Yes the lad from City,would be good signing I believe.A good tackler and passer of the ball and I agree we need that so badly.

We are actually blessed with central midfielders at the moment, but all are the creative type..
I couldn't describe Keith Andrews abilities, but I'd suggest offensive by his goal record..
Mavies, Andrews and Prats like to head forward...
And still..... Muamba & Holden are on the books...

Big Sam is on record as saying he could manage Madrid or Barca. Never heard OC say anything like that!
Most of the teams in the comments above, should be good enough to get us off to a good start.
As long as a core 6 or 7 are fit and available, we have enough on the bench to mix up the other 4 or 5 starting places.
