Goal threat?

Lads.. We have decent front trio with Borini-Suarez-Downing, but I still think it's a little light weight on goal threat. Ramirez would be a great signing though we have plenty of options for the middle of the park with Shelvey, Hendo, Adam, Spearing, but I think more importantly we need "Aguero-type" player, who fits Brendan's philosophy, someone very mobile, able to switch sides and can put the ball in the net.

Do you guys think we can get someone in that mold?

We don't have a 25-30 goal a season man at the moment and I don't think Suarez will score that number in the coming season!

Thursday night was another nail in Carroll's LFC coffin, there's no way he'll be able to fit into a team playing that kind of pressure.

But with a £30M summer budget reduced to just £4M now, where are we going to find the cash to sign at least one more good striker?

Cavani

I don't want Carroll in the first team as I think it'll reduce Suarez's abilities but he's a great option from the bench.

I'd quite like Dempsey for that right hand side.

Welcome to the board allyouneed.

What makes you think we have such a tight transfer budget? Personally I think it's higher than that plus we sold Aquilani and Kuyt for a reported £8m combined

Goals are made in midfield, this area is the key and with gerrard, lucas and allen we have a very mobile and intelligent trio.

I am hoping this season the rotation on the front 3 supported by allen and gerrard will give us many more goal chances.....i think we will be ok; to me its a big change having allen and borini in with a fit gerrard and lucas

Thanks Fred.

I forgot about those two leaving, it just seems to me that the way Carroll is being pimped around the league and we're even negotiating for Agger implies that there's not enough to spend. Even though every man and his dog can see we need another decent striker, I sincerely doubt FSG are going to put more money into the club for one.
