Actually United payed closer to £16 million for Jones (his min. fee release clause) it was Krazy Kenny who decided his minimum fee release clause seemed a bit low and chucked a few extra million on top of Liverpool's bid.

I don't think any Liverpool fans can really laugh at Young considering he is far more effective than Downing, younger and actually cost less...

Than compare Carrick a top midfielder to someone like Aqualini or Henderson who Liverpool spent similar amounts on...

The only real waste mentioned has been Anderson who is quality when he plays but is injured far far too often.

No I'm not saying we don't. It makes me chuckle that every season United are linked with, and on the verge of, signing a top player. Only for it to fall through/that player choose another club.
