I see a few posts on here saying that Adam will not fit into BR's game plan because he cannot tackle. This is carp.
The whole idea is to close down the man with the ball as quickly as possible, give him no time to settle on the ball and pick a pass. This makes for mistakes, such as:
- Passing to an opposition player
- A pass being intercepted
- A pass to another team member who is not in a safe position to receive
Now we know Adam is not the quickest but he can still close down the player with the ball if he is nearest to him. In fact, if I was BR I would instruct him to do this but NOT tackle!
Adam's job will be to collect the newly won ball and deliver the defence splitting pass that results in a goal.
Adam first choice? No, I think it will be Joe, Stevie and Lucas. However Adam will be great on the bench to come on when we have run out of ideas and good for the cups to allow players some rest.
In short, he is good for the strength in depth we need.
The pressing game and Adam

Stamina and mobility issue's could restrict Adam's ability to press the opposition for 90 minutes.
It all depends on the opposition. Against a top team he may struggle as they will have more of the ball and will have to work harder. against a team were we will have the ball more, his ability to play the killer pass could prove useful.

i agree with the OP, even Allen and Lucas are not required to be able to make a crunching tackle (i.e. Masch) Its all about pressing the opposition into an error
Adam will be a direct sub for Gerrard I would think, operating higher up the field reduces the scope for his Hollywood balls, and closer reflects the role he played at Blackpool,
Gerrard was so much better and less wasteful with possession in the second leg than the first, this is a direct result of mostly plying in the final third, sure they can still switch possesion to the opposite flank but there is a lot less room to pass forward into when you operate high up.
That will immediately cut out some of Adams more wasteful passes, as for his mobility i believe before he was injured last year not only was he the best assister for us, but he had also run further on the pitch than any other LFC player

There lies the problem. Regardless of whether you got the best killer pass, you cannot be wasteful in Brendan's system. Costs the whole team more energy while try to win it back. I agree with Aggers..

And Adam's decision making in the final third is terrible. Doesn't release the ball quick enough and can be very selfish.
In last match he got the in last minutes with Suarez in front of him. Instead of releasing the ball to Suarez, he kept it on player behind caught up and fouled him.

Adam presses ankles. A lot.

BR will avail himself of a far wider selection than Kenny did, and will place emphasis on the youth. Adam can do a job, his selection will be dependant entirely on who the opposition are. While he has his faults, he can do a job. Like everyone else I too would like to see a bigger squad. JimmyTheRed

I think Adam's reputation suffers for being injured for the back end of the season. People forget some good (not great, granted) performances earier in the campaign when playing alongside Lucas.
He would struggle against better teams in a midfield-two, but we don't play a midfield-two anymore...and are unlikely to play him against the better teams anyway!! Very decent squad player to have...and he has my support.
Anyway we could always play him against Spurs if we think Bale could be a threat??

We should keep the Balenator.
He knew almost nothing about Gareth's mother. Her full name, where she lived. They just knew the city. The Balenator was just being systematic.

Yeah im sure he can in his own time, but he doesnt just close them down he takes them out time after times Asif you dont see this he came on vs Gomel and did the same thing, took out a guy from behind who had his back to goal on the edge of gomels penalty box wtf.
