So he's said he's not happy and has been made available for transfer.
Don't think it comes as a massive surprise. I was hoping he'd get a chance this season though, obviously his time at County has made him realise he sees his future away from the City Ground! Apparently Direby want to sign him!!
Not the end of the world, but leaves us even lighter at the back, so reinforcements are required asap!

Disappointing he wants to go, mostly coz it shows he has a poor attitude. If ever there was a great opportunity to break into the Forest team its now with new mgr and no obvious nailed on right back as Halford looks predominantly a centre back. If he wants out then get rid, swap him for Judge whose a nifty right winger and also in his final year of contract and would have ambitions to play in the championship unlike Freeman

It's harsh to blame the player for having a poor attitude. I expect he's been told that first team opportunities will be limited this year, and if you consider that his preference would be to play in midfield, it's not hard to see why. There's a lot of competition for the central places, and if he's been told that at best he'll be back up for Harding at left back, it's only natural that he'll be unhappy. He's been patient, and spent the most informative years to date sitting on the sidelines. He's pushing 21 and it's absolutely essential for him at this stage of his career to play first team football.

I think OD will know what he's capable of. It's nice to have a local lad come through the academy but if he's not good enough then he needs to go for both his and the club's sake. He seemed decent if a bit ponderous, good touch but nothing special, good luck to him.

If he came to Derby he'd be straight in the first team as a seasoned pro.

You just have to laugh......
A player that cannot break through into our team and was loaned out to league 1 last term will automatically go straight into Derby's first team.....
Just goes to show our reserves are wanted because they are deemed as a better prospect than the whole of their squad

Shame he wont sign a new contract and go out on a season long loan to League 1 this season.
