As I am new here I thought I would get a rough idea of preferred players and preferred playing styles.
Out of Federer, Djokovic, Nadal and Murray, who's matches do you prefer to watch and why?
Thanks

Murray and Nadal matches because Nadal does bring out the best in Murray. From a rally perspective it is good to watch.
For shotmaking I would go with Federer and Djokovic every day.

No, no, no ....it's got be Federer v Nadal on clay. That is the only challenge for Federer. And I personally think that if he had played Nadal more often on clay with less pressure he coudl have learned how to beat him there too.

I still think Federer could beat Nadal at RG. I think if he backed his FH more in shortening rallies, I think he could make inroads.
The thing I like about the Djokovic and Federer matches is that Djokovic will back himself on the Federer FH. Always a pleasure to see.

Federer has won many sets v Nadal on clay. So I think he knows how to beat him. What has been missing is the consistency over 5 sets. Can he do it? yes but less likely than not.
I actually prefer to watch Fed v Delpo or even Murray than v Djoko. However there have been some great matches between those 2.

I think Federer knows how to beat Nadal clay too, I just think on clay the issue is that when playing in the margins and the ball comes back in the deuce court, Federer finds it that difficult to play much deeper inside the baseline when the angles shorten and power behind the strokes become less.
I think that is why I find it horrible to watch because it is Federer being blunted than being outplayed.

Blunting Federer is one of the safest ways of beating him.
He is a difficult one to outplay, so you can't blame those who can't for trying.
Murray did just that in the Olympics final.

Seeing Rafael Nadal beat his opponents with his awesome topspin is a joy to behold and seeing Nadal play decent passes and great winners is also great to watch.

Nah topspin is never awesome, it's a boring humility shot. It used to be the safest and easier shot in tennis, now topspins can hurt just because the new strings.

So true! WIth natural strings his shots would hardly pass the net.
