...then, not a bad draw as far as I'm concerned as it's within travelling distance for me. Also it's a nothing to lose game and there'll be a decent crowd. All in all a good challenge for us.

An impressive win vs Brighton wasn't it? Can't read anything into the first game of the season, but nice to be through to the next round. We're unlikely to repeat '69, so probable death or improbable glory courtesy of Stoke is fine by me...Hartlepool away is more important in my book.

Sadly, it would be difficult now for any lower club to emulate our 1969 feat. What is this "seeding" all about? A knockout competition, giving all the advantages to the bigger clubs?
