Honestly I think this is great for you, you got £24m for a 29 year old striker on the last year of his contract and you've already bought 2 strikers in place of him with more money still to spend. You probably wont miss him at all

Grimandi said months ago that Giroud was cover for RVP if he goes. We've already spent the money.

Finally someone who speaks my language!
we will probably miss him but he won't be as good next season and hopefully we should be able to strengthen the squad elsewhere.

We just have to see what happens next. If Mirallas, Sahin and M'Vila are all brought in then we will finish top 4 at the very least. I'd like to see another striker like Llorente brought in but maybe it's wishful thinking.
