Hull KR and utility player Ben Cockayne have parted company "by mutual consent", the club have announced.
'Mutual Consent' I love how they massage the fact he was obviously shown the door.
Not a great shock, next stop Widnes????
Thoughts folks?

For me on the pitch he is everything you want from a player as with shaun briscoe 100% every time, would literally die for the cause and loved the fans, who felt the same about him. I remember when we won the grand final and promotion to superleague the players invaded the crowd, brilliant.! Also when he scored the winning try in the last minute to help us beat wakey 14-9 in our first superleague match.
Sorry to see you go and I know how sick you are about it,but in all sports you have rules and you could have gone after the racist incident, but in the end you left us with no choice.Good luck to you and thanks for the memories and hope you can keep yourself out of trouble and you will be an asset to whoever signs you. A sad day for me.!

A true fan and gentleman,
If Ben had your manners and breeding he would still be playing and loved by the fans a shame he is throwing his talent away with his behaviour.

League leader.Thank you,may I say the same about you,I appreciated the post the other night on the shaun briscoe thread. Iam and always will be very passionate about my club, but right is right and if you cross the line once too often you have to pay the penalty I suppose. I know the decision is right but when you look at players like paul gallen in aussie who has crossed the line more than cockayne and has now become probably the best forward in the world.!
