Im guessing you're in the car with him now holding his coffee between your legs while giving him a rubdown. Listen to yourself. It's much more complicated than that. If lets say you're right and both of you are Manchester bound, there's still a lot more in this. Maybe they don't offer the wages he wants, maybe the length of contract doesn't suit him, maybe he fails the medical etc. too many possibilities and this is only if he has agreed to travel.
