He will see his 4 years out doing the business for them every year, will probably be top scorer for at least two of his four years and will set up a tonne of goals for Rooney.
Seriously, RVP and Rooney upfront, that is easily the best strike force in their league, name one that is better, cause I can't
At which point he will either become one of those Manchester United older State man and play a bit role where Man U use him to help close down games and stays on for a couple of years before retiring.
Or he will go see out his career in Holland joint a club like Ajax or FC Twente who he will start for and play European football every year with.
Or end up on a huge pay check in the States.
Either way, he is now set for his career now.

Still trying to buy the league as they have done and tried to do for 20 years.
Leeds United - The last true English champions.

United have the best strikeforce in the country! Both RVP and Rooney have everything in their locker.
You also gotta remember Kagawa is just behind them, and Valencia and Young/Nani are on the wings. They will score many goals!
Defence isnt as impressive:
Rio - old
Rafael - good going forward liability defending
Smalling - not ready
Evra - past his best

Mattyp - you're making a few assumptions there.
Don't forget both Rooney and RVP are used to being talismanic pin-up players for the last few years. There'll be some mental adjustment needed there.
Furthermore, there'll be pressure on RVP to settle in immediately and score lots of goals. There's potential for this to be another Torres-type transfer.

Not everyone makes it OT and Fergie has bought a few lemmons in his time. He paid a fortune for the brilliant Berbatov but never plays him because he's a bit different. Wasted cash and needs to sell him

Of course I am making assumptions, this is a debating forum and unlike mystic meg I can't predict the future.
What's the point in talking about what you think will happen or whether it will be a good signing if you don't make some assumptions

Even if he only has 1 good season out the 4 and helps them win it next season off city.
It will be money well spent.
No club in the prem are any where near city and scm strikeforce the rest are so far off them it's untrue.

Torres, was poor for ages before he went to chelsea.
Anybody who doesnt think he'll be a massive hit, either know rock all about football, or subconsciously are letting their hatred of s c um, mist there mind.

It will be a steal IF he stays injury free and can repeat last seasons escapades.
Without any shadow of a doubt RVP is one of the best players in the world & on his day is more naturally gifted than Roons c u m.
However, with his history & advancing years the optimist in me hopes that it all backfires on the m a n u r e & spends the next 4 years being massaged !!!
