Down but not out!

Wolves fan here who has just found this site and who would just like to commiserate on your relegation and the fallout that has occurred since. The last thing I wanted to see on that final day of the season was Wolves relegation, but it saddened me that it was Blues who effectively saved us. 3 minutes away, that's all we were, so I'm under no illusions how lucky we were. I would have been much happier had it been Blackburn, Wigan or Bolton, among others, than you lot.

Since then you've had CY's financial situation (whatever that may be), McLeish's departure across the city and the loss of a few key players, with maybe more to follow. I 've read a few articles below and there is lots of doom and gloom. I'd like to try and restore a bit of optimism. I know, as a Wolves fan, how tough the Championship is to get out of, but i'm hoping you have the resources to succeed.

I feel the biggest thing in your favour of achieving this is the appointment of CH. I see him as a good manager, who took Newcastle up comfortably and should never have been sacked in my opinion as he was doing a solid job with them in the Premier league. He has the ability to get you out of your situation if he is given the backing. His style of football will also be a better spectacle than that of his predecessor, so it should be nice to watch. In regard to the financial rumours, that is just what they are at this stage, rumours, and there is nothing concrete to suggest you are in dire straights. CY did back you well financially in the PL and until his present issues are resolved there is no saying this won't continue. You also still have a good squad of players that are more than capable of competing at this level and I hope CH is able to hang on to the players he feels he needs and add to the squad, as the Championship sometimes requires a different type of player.

Although, as said earlier, the Championship is not easy to escape, I wish you all the best in the coming season and hope we are both in the PL for the start of the 2012 campaign.

Couldnt have put better myself.

Even if he did win us the Carling cup, before he sold his soul and joined that lot down the road

Hi Hereford Wolf and JA 606 Blues fans.
Like Hereford Wolf I take no pleasure from Blues current situation and am well aware it could all too easily be us. I have allways had a soft spot for Blues and their great fans. I moved from Wolverhampton to Birmingham when I was 12 and at first my parents wouldn't let me go to Wolves on my own so next door neighbours who were Blues fans took me to St. Andrews. Most of you will be too young but that was to see the Bertie Auld, Mike Hellawell team of the mid sixties - a great team to watch. In the following years I would go to Blues if I couldn't get to see Wolves.
The Banjo Kid in reverse !
Wolves and Blues both have idiot fans but the great majority are good people.
All that the good Blues fans can do now is hang on in there. It looks bad at the moment but you are a big city club and the next owners could be as good as the present ones are bad. I think Hughton is a really good choice and I wish you all success for the coming season.

Our anthem is a thing of great joy to me and fills me with pride to sing and hear. I have a friend who is an Aberdeen fan and even though i like the don's song it just isnt Keep right on.....
