RVP gonna do a Torres?

Does anybody else have a nasty feeling that RVP will do a Torres and turn poo because he's no longer the main man?

Enjoy the Dutch reject. He played out of his skin for at age of 28 in his prime for a massive retirement paycheck and got it.

You have 2 seasons before he turns 32. Enjoy!

You guys might as well signed Drogba for free, he less injury prone and isn't made of glass

Huge difference regarding this and Torres' signing.

Torres was signed by Abramovich NOT the Chelsea manager which meant he neever fitted into Chelsea's playing style as their way of playing is suited for a big target man i.e. Drogba

RVP has been signed by Fergie so he obviously thinks he will slot in seemlessly and tbh, I cant see for the life of me how Rooney and RVP wont hit it off.

RVP's main concern is getting injured

What Utd don't want is another Hargreaves..

RVP has averaged around 25 league apps and about 35 apps in all competitions in the 8 years he's been at Arsenal.

That's not great but its also not shocking. Considering Welbeck NEEDS games, Kagawa prefers the second striker role and not forgetting the need to play 451 in tough way games, I think he'd only get that many games even if he was always fit

Torres loss of form follows on from a serious injury. And to be fair I watched him on Sunday and he looked good. May be a flash in the pan but who knows.

He looked lively Ill give him that but whenever Iv watched him in a Chelsea shirt, no matter how good a game he has, I cant for the life of me see how he managed to sore 30+ goals in a season in the past

He neever seems to be in goal scoring positions

If he stay's fit, he'll flourish with the service he'll get!

If he scores early he'll be fine.

I think Fergie might even leave him on the bench for a few games as he hasn't had a preseason with united and as far as I'm aware Arsenal weren't playing him in their friendlies

Torres struggled as Chelsea still played their "lump it up to Drogba" direct game which didn't suit him. He needs a playmaker to play through balls. May be now Chelsea are trying to change style he might flourish. Having said that I don't fancy Chelsea that much this season as they will be torn between the old successful direct defensive game and the exciting attacking play the owner wants.
