Apparently after the signings of Cazorla and co RVP was considering signing and new contract with us and staying. Now I don't know how much of that is true but also when he was starting to come round to this frame of mind Arsene pulled him to one side before the Koln game and told van Persie that he was no longer part of his plans. I for one find this an actually quite positive thing. It shows Wenger has faith in our current squad and also he is unprepared to be held to ransom by a player!
Well done Wenger.

Nobody knows if this is true or not, they are BBC sources that's all.
I'm not sure what to make of it if true. On one hand, you have to give it to Wenger, he has shown balls and that nobody is bigger than the club with that statement.
On the other hand RVP could well prove not to be bigger than the club but maybe to big a hole in our team to fill. If RVP was open to signing a new contract then I feel we should have done all we could to keep him.

We can live without RVP imagine he had stayed never really recaptured his form from last season but was not so bad he was dropped we would have Giroud sitting on the bench now RVP has gone we have no world wide superstars everybody plays on merit not reputation. Hopefully the squad can unite and finish above the skankie mancs.
If we finnished above United would that be better than winning League cup.
