Our attack looks really scary this season.!!!
Rooney, RVP, Welbeck, Hernandez, Valencia, Nani, Giggs, Young (to some extent).
If Kagawa and RVP settle down quickly we can easily match the likes of the 2 Spanish giants albeit we don't have that special player in Messi or Ronaldo but the depth in attack is scarily good.
Now I have seen Kagawa more than anyone on our board has seen since in this part of the world we get access to all the leagues in Europe for absolute peanuts. I have seen that guy at least 30 times for both Dortmund and Japan and believe me if he settles quickly he will be a superstar.
I can compare him to Nasri in terms of playing style. He can play in the hole or the left forward in a 4-3-3 which he does for Japan and cut inside and shoot. But the guy is way better than Nasri. His short passing and through ball giving is ability is sensational. However his main strength is shooting. The guy is a terrific finisher. Nasri is the better dribbler though.
However he tends t disappear for portions of the game and gets shrugged off the ball many times which might be his weaknesses.
I can honestly see us repeating 07-08 if we sign a top class CM because out attack is really amazing this season.
I just want us to have a real crack at the CL this year. No matter what other posters say that the CL is just a bonus/ cherry on the cake I completely disagree. It should be equally important as the PL imo.

I'd be happier if we struggled for goals last year. We didn't.
We struggle to compete in midfield, we can have RVP, Roomey, Messi and Ronaldo all up front but if we can't keep the ball and get it to them. It's pointless.
There's still a chance our midfield may get over run though Scholes and Kags may improve this a fair bit. Ando and Clevs staying fit will give us more options.
