Ok i've been doing a lot of thinking regarding this.
Well if we sell Song, seeing that we always need to balance the book, would this not then allow us to buy an out and out defensive midfielder and then on top of that get sahin on loan?
I dont get why we would sell song and replace him with just a loanee, remembering that Real are only allowing him to be loaned out.
If we do get sahin as a reaction to the sale of song, do you think that the board/wenger be willing to spend the money in from the song transfer this summer. Or will they just be tight fisted, as per usuall.
Song and sahin

makes alot of sense, but i don't know.
i know with sahin we may get an option to buy, but thats next year and it depends on wether we want him or he wants us. i would like to see us buy a very good DM as this is what we really truly need.

Sahin is unrelated apparently, more to do with cover for Wilshere, which makes sense.
Interest in Sahin was reported before the Song stories began.

Wenger said signing both was a possibility. Jamie Sanderson said Arsenal have been scouting replacements for Song and signing Sahin is a seperate thing

IMO we will get both Sahin and M'Vila.
That would lift me up and I can forget about my depression.

Please get Sahin. Keep him away from Liverpool!

Who is the better defensively? Sahin or M'Vila?

so why have arsenal told sahin to hold off liverpool until we sell song? do we have enough space for sahin and another player in our 25 man squad?

Sahin isnt a defensive midfielder.

gunnerthru, no one said he was. it's beacause all this link between the sale of song and the aquisition of sahin. such as strong rumours suggesting arsenal have told sahin to wait before signing for liverpool, until after we can get rid of song.

We'll only be signing one midfielder, max.

Wenger says he will enter the market if necessary before the transfer window closes, but he believes that Arsenal are well-stocked in midfield.
"Midfield is a different area because we have nine or ten midfielders of top-class quality," he said.
"Just today we have six or seven midfielders available, plus Wilshere and Frimpong who are coming back. Diaby is available again, Arteta, Cazorla, Ramsey, and Oxlade-Chamberlain now plays central midfield. This is an area where we have much more freedom to make decisions."
