So I'm thinking of taking the kids to the Helsingborg game. What is the quickest/best way to get back to jury's hotel on jamaica st?
My 14 year old son will be grand if we have to walk but I mightn't be so lucky with the 9yr old daughter especially at that time of night (and God forbid, extra time!) Is it safe to get the train from Bridgeton to Central station? Do they run that late?
Appreciate any advice folks!
Words of advice please!

Yeah hurling beats football (true statement that btw) katie was brilliant and thoroughly deserved gold. Felt sorry for Paddy Barnes really thought he won that fight. Michael conlon was brilliant too and he'll fight another day.. I usually walk but have got taxis there a few times.. If you come out of the ground, walk to london road tavern and follow it round to the right, cross the street and you should get one there.

Enjoy the game and stay safe mate.We used to drink in Brigton Cross before Celtic v Rangers games, and it was a bluenose area right enough, but the Glasgow fans will keep you right.
Whereabouts in Co Antrim are you from?I am in sunny Carrickfergus, where it has just started to rain..
Hope your kids have a ball.

Ethels probably right Hurling. If we get through, the crowd will float all the way in and your kids will be skipping and jumping every step of the way.

Forget the piggy back hurling, and put the wee lady on your shoulders................much easier on the back mate.
Katie is some fighter, and would give most male boxers a go,but JohnJoe met a decent English boxer.

From Glenariffe Bluebells but now living in Crossgar. Kids had a great time at the Rennes game last season but love Glasgow as a city. Took them to that Braehead indoor skiing place and all the other activities you can do there. I was chatting away to a good ol' bluenose whose kids were there too. Then we did Celtic stadium tour, tbh I was more of a kid then, getting into the changing rooms and dugout. Grinning like a child on Christmas morning!!!

I thought you would be from the Glens man, with the love of hurling there.
Was up at Glenariffe forrest 2 winters ago,and it was too icy to go down the road into the forrest,so we went for a class walk in the forest opposite.Lovely area.
The good folk of Cushendall looked after me years ago when my motorbike broke down at the top of the Glens,en route to Portrush.I ended up visiting the bars all day, comfortably numb, and then the local kids tried to get me a lift home.
Friendly folk up there.

CG, I look forward to our get together..
Tbbab, john joe will be kicking himself. That was a fight he should have won. I think he left the games very regretful.
