Question on front page of BBC website.
On a separate note just heard a quote from RVP saying he's left on good terms and that 'no-one is angry at me!"
Oh yeah and Song just agitated for a move away with 2/3 years on contract.
And was there some court case about racist name calling this year?
Talk about ask a silly question!
'why do some people hate footballers?'

My favourite bit of footballistic hubris and horribleness was William Gallas' car - a chrome-plated mercedes convertible supercar.
Nothing liker an endearing modesty and selflessness in our sporting heroes?

I don't hate footballers as a group of people but some of the things that some of the professional players get up to is disgusting. Most of them would never have got a job labouring if it wasn't for football.
I do hate the FA for not controlling the game.
Wayne Rooney got a red card and three match ban for an act of unprovoked violence on the pitch and the FA hired 4 teams of lawyers to get the ban reduced to 2 matches.
Evra insults a female member of Suarez's family, receives a response and Suarez gets an 8 match ban.
Obviously, violence and attitude to women are less important than the crime that Suarez was supposed to have committed.

to "Zin" cracker hahaha!.
Don't hate all. just the game is Greedy.
I'm from scotland and english fitba has destroyed the game here as our best players leave to chase an extra, 5,10,15k per week at bottom or mid table clubs that probably will never win anything in there time there while in scotland with Rangers & Celtic you could win the league and play european fitba. money talks and i feckin hate the game now

I know that Gallas had one for sure.
There was a little feature some while ago about footballer's vulgar cars, and boy were they vulgar!
Still, what can you expect when you give very young lads limitless pocket money - LIMITLESS - and a pampered life in public.
One thing - it's all very well to say how admirable these athletes were/are, but give them fifty grand a week and fling them into a gladiatorial arena where your own supporters tear you to shreds and hold a lifetime's grudge for one mistake - they'd be the same!
Another thing - and I hate to say this now, bur Robbing Van Pursey had a very modest little car - one of those, er, 'gay' cars, funny little pea green things.

I think the English FA have done a great job. Sky too are very good at what they do, but tell me why teams like stoke, sunderland and so on can spend in excess of 10-20 mill on one player. farsical. and offer upwards of 50k a week. i cant wait till the bubbl bursts down there, and no offence to you lads, just i can't stand it.

stiflersmom (U14171) Are you confusing the English FA with the English Premier League? Because they are totally different.
The EPL have done a great job for the clubs. The English FA has not.
