Whats the difference between what Rio has been found guilty of and what Suarez was found guilty of other than the fact there was no evidence in the Suarez case? Why such a massive difference in punishment when the FA's explanation of the verdict is effectively the same as for Luis?

Probably a can of worms but...

I'm guessing that your not off the same race as them and if so then you possibly cannot comment whether they are sensitive or not.
..........................................
You cannot comment on the sensitivity of people you are not the same race as?!
How far does this rule go?
Can I make comments regarding people's of other races footballing ability, looks or intelligence?
Some crazy rule that is... wonder who came up with it...

Yes but then you get into the evidence and 'balance of probabilities' side of it.
For example Mr Ferdinand was caught speeding by a speed camera, which provided evidence of the offence. Mr Suarez received his ban because on the balance of probabilities, in the police's opinion, he was probably doing 105MPH.
If that actually happened, the hypothetical speeding scenario, what would your reaction be?

Firstly you are confusing the level of proof or evidence with the punishment you get for a guilty verdict. It doesn't matter if a guilty verdict is only just about reached by the skin of its teeth or whether it was the most obvious verdict in the history of justice. Once a person's guilt has been decided then punishment is based on the assumption the verdict was right.
Secondly to make your example work Suarez would have to make a statement saying he was only doing 20 higher than the guy next to him and the guy next to him gets clocked at 85.
Regardless punishment is not based on how obvious or not their guilt is, that is decided previous to sentencing.

Ferdinand's insult was not really against black or mixed race people, it was against white people, because it inferred that that there is an inherent difference between how black/mixed race people think compared to white people, and that the way white people think is inferior.
The insult may have been aimed at Cole, but the victims where anyone who was offended by it on a public forum.
Suarez said something to one person in the heat of the moment, in private (nobody else heard it).

Both insults were aimed at only one person. Various groups of people could take offence to what both said even though it was not aimed at them.
The difference being one was a case of 2 people the of the same ethnicity with a racial slur traded between them and the other was a case of people of 2 different ethnicities with a racial slur traded between them. One is obviously more serious than the other.
Suarez admitted to what he said, which was made public. So both ended up putting racial slurs out into the public domain.
I have yet to see many offended white people outside of those with some kind of grudge (for example Liverpool fans because of the Suarez incident, or Chelsea fans because it was their player and what is happening with Terry) I bet the vast majority of white people (who have no interest in football to avoid bias) would tell you they would not be insulted by Rio retweeting a comment that Ashley Cole is a choc ice.

the difference is the FA/powers that be are sending out a mixed message.
the FA IMO have made a clear statement that racism is ok depending on who or what is said - the player/fan that does what Rio did can simply turn around and basically get off scott free

So it's ok if I call someone the N word, talking to a white person, but not directly to a black person?
That is ridiculous.
One is not more serious than the other at all.
Ferdinand knew he was on a public forum.
Suarez knew he was on a football pitch.
Both were wrong in there own way, but one is vilified for life and the other is told he has a good disciplinary record (despite being banned for months for missing drug tests).

Yeah who would have thought that a racial slur exchanged between two people of different ethnicity in a heated exchange is less serious than someone retweeting a racial slur to someone of the same race.
Next there will be some black guy rapping about someone of the same ethnicity in his song and I will get vilified for using the same word as him as I am not of the same ethnicity... when will the madness end?!

There was racism?!
Does Rio Ferdinand hate mixed race people like himself and Ashley Cole...
I am starting to think your dealer gets hold of far far better stuff than mine!

You are less likely to get a negative reaction off the person, this does of course depend on the relationship you have with the person and the context it is said in. If you say it offensively to someone you are not friends with then I imagine the white guy would just be a bit confused and the black guy probably very angry with you.

If you cannot understand how saying an insult which is to do with being Black to a Black person is more serious than saying that insult to a white person than I don't really now what to say to you...
Maybe you should go back to basics, repeat with me, A...B....C....D...

One racially abused someone of a different ethnicity, the other racially abused someone of his own ethnicity. If you don't understand why racism is taken so seriously then were have you been the last few decades?!
