Is he a good signing? I mean, Hes a fantastic keeper but is he gonna be another one that just sits on the bench with a massive salary until Reina gets injured which is extremely unlikely? Coz if he is, And he dont play, Then we will be wasting our money. He could play in the league cup game but tbh not much more than that.

Well Reina is injured right now, so it's good to have a more than adequate keeper on the bench!

Maybe I've got the wrong end of the stick
I thought reserve keepers usually sat on the bench?
You know absolutely nothing about his salary so why not be pleased in the fact that we've at last got a quality back-up keeper

The goalkeeping position at any club is absolutely crucial.
We are lucky to have one of the best in the league (if not the best) at our club, but we need to have the security of having a quality backup keeper.
As for injuries, you can never tell when they can strike, so I see this signing as a very good piece of business.

Yes but apparently didnt he turn down a £60,000 Salary coz he would take a pay cut?

'Apparently'.
The owners and Kenny and Comolli know full and well what they are doing. They've obviously compromised and came to agreement.

Ask Arsenal what happens when you don't have a suitable back-up keeper.

Has anyone actually seen much of the lad? Seen loads of posts about him, raving about him - but has anyone actually watched him play, week in, week out?
SOUNDS like a prefect backup to Reina, I'm putting my trust in Ken.

But Arsenal don't even have a decent first choice GK.
Every top club needs to have a good back up keeper, so I think Liverpool have done the right thing. It helps to keep your first choice keeper on his toes, as he knows that a couple of mistakes are enough to see him overtaken.
