Some of the comments this morning from so called Liverpool fans are shocking.
This is the premier league, anyone can beat anyone.
Liverpool were in control for almost the entire first half but again couldn't make the chances count, despite having a few players playing poorly. Their is no keeper in the world who would have stopped Gera's rocket and then going in at half time 1-0 down it's a totally different game for both: Liverpool have to push more and more and the Brummies are happy to sit deep and continue to counter.
Then a couple of harsh decision by the inept Dowd and it's damaged limitations with half hour to go.
What Rogers said which was basically we may as well lose 3-0 having a go than 1-0 not, i'm happy with that, Fergie has done it for years and you get more points than you don't most of the time.
I truly believe it was a bad day at the office and Rodgers himself knows he needs an extra two or three bodies to get some depth before the window shuts.
Get behind him LFC.
Get on side

Yep, it could be a master stroke or disaster but the likelihood is it'll be somewhere inbetween. Top 6 appears to be the realistic viewpoint of most fans and that seems about right to me.
I'm sorry but I really can't stand the idea of players being evaluated by their price. I couldn't give a small rats ass how much he cost, just what he can add on the pitch. There is always value in the market - always. You pay big money to reduce the risk of signings working but that doesn't mean to say cheaper players will be carp, just less assurance they won't be. Sure Newcastle have proved that over the past 18 months?

We won't be top four this season, just give it time!!
A combination of Rafa, Roy and Kenny left this place in a shambles - it'll take a long time to be back to the good days.

Sorry but I really don't see possession based football as a fad, it's always been there. I think it's growth over time is just due to the investment in youth and coaching providing a higher technical standard. I'm not talking individually but collectively, the technical ability of top flight players is better therefore more attempt to play possession football.
I'm not saying its the only way or that you can't be successful playing other ways (Chelsea last season being a case in point!) but it's not a fad.

It's a fad for LFC, Last One In. Yesterday proves it doesn't work for us.
We can all bleat about time but I'm sorry eight months in a season is no time at all. He has to get this crp right and now.

So because it's the first time we've adopted this approach (I could take issue with that as well btw, at times under Evans we were very much about possession) its a fad? Ok, well playing playing Allen is just a fad for Liverpool....
If you're genuinely making judgements on an entire approach after one game then you're barking. It's also going to be a long hard season for you because this approach is here to stay, players will either adapt or leave.

Some fans are never happy irrespective of the club situation. Lots of moaners on here. I did not notice moaners claiming possession football is a fad for Liverpool when they won those Europa League matches. One bad result so far for Rodgers and all hell is bound to break loose. And we wonder why there are so many wum on our boards. I'm disappointed with yesterday's result but I know there will be days like yesterday and there will be better days. Supporting Liverpool is like a marriage vow, for better for worse so we should start acting like it.

If he gets it right, he gets it right, if he doesn't, he doesn't.
None of my business.

Just be patient, we will get there,BR will lead us there. Have faith. One game down and all of a sudden it's then end of the world. No it's not. JimmyTheRed
