Can Football Fill My Hole?

Well, it's a been a long while, and I hate to post and run, yet I'll post this and will hang around. I've been a latent provider of postings and blabberings for some time. With a good season, I might actually have something to say.

So here's a start at least:

Enjoy

Perhaps there's a link between photo's 5 (trough) and 6 (book cover) in that some clubs mentioned serve liquid refreshment that necessitates 'frequent visits'.

Downsouf...an Evertonian and a Man City fan? I'm actually not bothered by the stars bit, the one star comedian always has time to waste.

Yet not one comment from the mentioned clubs in the article. Hmmm...

If you can get a football to fill your hole..you ought to be in a circus...

There you go SF, a 'fiver' from me.

Don't spend it all at once.

On a completely different note, I noticed Rab Douglas was in goal for Dundee today. I saw some of the match on SS4. Ironically, the Dundee United 'keeper on the bench was named Banks.

This will probably sound like a backhanded compliment, but this is (I think) one of the best articles you've written. I'm inclined to agree with many of your assessments of the Championship teams.

Regarding the Irish at the Olympics: First off, I never realised you are Irish. Secondly, I thought the support of the crowd for the Irish (particularly the boxer) was excellent to see. I've heard the Olympics being described as "like a home Olympics" for the Irish (by an Irishman) and I hope that's true and doesn't sound or feel condescending. Certainly I've felt that the Irish athletes were treated as extended family here and I think that's a good thing for us both.

P.S. I'll give you five stars as well to balance it out at 4-4.

P.P.S. You do like opening yourself up to wums with your article titles, don't you...

thanks Dunge. The title was deliberately provoking. If you look through some of my other titles or if you remember any of the titles from my 606 days, they were mostly tongue-in-cheek.

Cheers for the 'balance' fellow foxes
