Considering that Jack Wilshere might need a year to be back to his best, not being able to make the Sahin loan permanent may not be that bad afterall.

All it is if madrid choose to sell then arsenal have the first option to sign him.

Doubt if he'll ever get back in the Madrid team

I disagree if there is a deal inplace for a fee of 6-8m, it will mean that if we submit that fee Real Madrid will have no choice but to accept the offer. It is down to Sahin whether he wants to join permanently or not.

It would be more than that. A fee would be agreed, thus a bidding war wouldn't affect us if he has a successful season.

Even Alonso couldn't persuade Sahin to choose Liverpool over us

No I am saying there is no buy-clause, arsenal have first option but there is no specific fee we have to meet.

There has to be a fee otherwise first option means nothing. What does first option mean in your world?
First option means nothing. A fee for purchase at end of loan will be inserted.

I agree with D'Jeezus.
We always had a first option clause inserted in our loan deals. Was like that with Baptista, and Benayoun.
Don't think Wenger would've done it otherwise.

Fair enough, great if there is the buy option
