My view.

I write an article on my blog every now and then when I feel the need to, it's my view on the current situation, and how I feel most of you will be be the same, as well as how I feel on some fans of ours..

Take a look if you like, any comments appreciated

Excellent Blog mate, good read. I have my own Blog (though it's more general football rather than Liverpool-themed), that's why I took time to read yours. You say everything that every sensible fan knows, there are just some idiots out there - the '#RodgersOut' guy for example. You rightly back the manager and the owners.

Cheers RR

Just like to vent my frustration sometimes
If you have a link to your blog I wouldn't mind having a read, always looking for new stuff to read

An excellent Blog. However, there is one thing I cannot understand. It was mentioned in a different post yesterday. Most Redmen accept that there is not a lot of money to be spent, and I think that they also understand that mega wages are a burden to the club, Most of them and I include myself, believe we need an out and out goal scorer, I cannot for the life of me understand just why we have not made a bid for Dempsey, it is not going to break the bank and his wages should be within reason, especially if we sell/loan those who are surplus to requirements.

I'm bewildered also, and I thought yesterday highlighted the fact we need Dempsey extremely. I don't care who you play for if you can score as many goals as he does. 29 is a good age (ask RvP), he can play anywhere up top and in midfield and can actually finish consistently.
I'd happiy give them £5 million & Adam. We need a player who'll do well now, not in the future.

Adam does not want to go to Fulham.

You can't force a player to be part of a transfer deal.

If we want Dempsey we are going to have to stump up the full fee, I am sure we will, just late in the window as the pressure will be cranked up on Fulham to recoup some money on an unsettled player who will leave for nothing in a year.

My bet would be he signs for about £8m, late next week or early the week after.

I'd rather have him to play against City but that's just me.

You think 1 game is more important than potentially saving £2m?

We could lose to Man City with or without Dempsey, likewise we could beat them with or without him.

I don't get our fans sometimes.

On the one hand they are berating them for overpaying for players, then on the other hand they are berating them for taking too long in getting deals done.

If you want a good deal you have to work at it, not just cave in at the first point of negotiation for the sake of a couple of games.

I mean that mostly because and even though it looks highly unlikely if we don't bid enough and the window shuts without him moving he could just turn round, apologise, throw out a good PR interview and be back to normal there. Would rather make certain we have him personally. (I see the worst case scenario in everything)

But if we go round 'making certain we have them', then we will back to paying Jovanovic £70k a week in no time.

We have a new sensible strategy.

Sometimes it might result in us not signing a player, but it is a long term strategy, not a 'we have lost one game so MUST go out and sign a player NOW strategy'.

So it should be judged in the long term.
