Under appreciated,underrated player in the Premier league.
He joins United and we win the league 3 times in a row and the Champions league. He plays for England again last week and no coincidence one of only a few performances in years against decent opposition where we could actually pass and keep possession. An unsung hero and the best reader of the game in that position. He mops up, he breaks up play and he pings the ball low and hard into the striker's feet. Most like Carroll cannot control it, if they could it would make him look eve better.
Hope all the Carrick haters will give it a rest now and support him.

I do rate him but I think the fact that he is so underrated by other fans makes most United fans overrate him I think. Yes he is a very good midfielder, but I think the likes of Anderson and Cleverley have the potential to be a lot better than him.

I agree with this Carrick is a class act and it's disappointing to see that some (but a lot less than in the past) of our fans don't rate him.
Most fans of rival clubs also appreciate what he does and how well he does it. I'm thankful that he rarely gets injured and he will hopefully have a big impact for us once again this season.

But most of the more sensible fans of rival clubs have a lot of time for him in my view.

One midfield player that does nothing but still manages to get games is Frank Lampard.
Apart from turning up late in the box to score deflected goals, can anybody tell me what else he does?
