We need another centerback

last I checked, we play 3 forwards, no wingers

Last 3 competitive games I checked and I saw the horrendous Downing play.

so why buy a different winger to play forward then?

Buy another forward instead.

Redconn at Swansea did he not play Routledge, sinclair and dyer as his wide forwards? They were wide forwards that also tracked back from the games I saw last season.

Please can people stop with Kjaer. Seriously his was good for a couple of seasons on Fifa that doesn't mean he'll be just as good now.

Personally I think a versatile defender is more what we need we already have Agger Skrtel Coates Carragher Kelly Sama Wisdom Wilson... And we wonder why are youth never get a chance...

Why wouldn't we just get another LB?

Kelly really looked lost last match and couldn't provide width on the right..

Kelly had a bad match.

He's been excellent for a couple of seasons now when we've used him.

1 of 38 was a bad day at the office for him. I'm writing that off.

Kelly has all the attributes to be a top class CB. I don't think he's all that at fullback, technically he isn't all that and struggles offensively as a RB. His defensive qualities would be better suited at CB.

I just don't rate Kelly at all to be honest. I'd rather play agger at left back, keep Johnson at RB and Coates at CB when enriques unavailable.

Offensively he offers nothing.

Robinson is one of our most promising players. I would like to see him given more first team opportunities this season. He dropped off the radr a bit last season, but when he has played he looks very composed for a youngster and has a good range of passing.

Agger isn't suited to LB and has struggled when he has played there imo. He doesn't have the energy to play as a modern fullback.
