Levy could well be taking a leaf out of Exeter City's book in hoping that the club's fans fork up the cash for a new striker. Hoping that we all get to such a level of frustration that we cash in Don's bus in order to help finance Ade's wages for an hour or so.

Joking aside this is a pretty good indication of the different worlds of football. 30m pound transfer fees in one division and fans funding a transfer in another, who really are in control of the direction of their own clubs in both the short term and the long term?
P.S. While being forced to work instead of watching our game the other day a young fellow announced to a friend that he was joining the Spurs academy. I have therefore come to the assumption he is in fact 'New Striker' I can't wait to see him flourish in 10 years or so.
Also I can't exactly say I was massively shocked by the result, but it is rather irritating that we have essentially started the season a week later than everyone else by not having 'properly' prepared in terms of strengthening the squad. It's two years in a row we've left our business to the last minute. Meanwhile, other clubs (Arsenal) essentially pre-prepared for RVP's departure by signing players rather than waiting till he left.
