New LCFC website is rubbish

Some times I can't even get into the website. As for trying to use Foxes Player, that is hit and miss and getting worse. Their customer services department suggested it was my computer but I don't have trouble with other websites and had no problems with LCFC until they redesigned the website. Anyone else brassed off?

Yes - at best its amateurish and at worst downright rubbish. Its looks rubbish and works poorly. This was reported in the Leicester Mercury last week and there is even an online petition to have it changed.

I can put up with the fact the website looks a mess but what I can't tolerate is the fact it is slow and difficult to see bits you want to see. Trying to get at the match commentaries is a nightmare and getting worse. It worked perfectly before so why change it? They have done something to the technical side of the site which has made it much, much worse.

Don't recognise any of these criticisms. For me the website looks far better (clearer, more elegant) and - so far - it has worked for me - including the Player - every bit as well as its predecessor. The same presentation seems to have been adopted at other clubs, so unless the concerns voiced here are widespread, I can't see the changes being reversed.

There were a lot of complaints in the Leicester Mercury. I use Windows XP like a lot of other people. I suspect that the problems are because the new website is built to run on later versions of Windows, ie Windows 7 etc. A lot of people use older versions of software. I doubt my computer could handle Windows 7. Anyway, something is letting down LCFC subscribers. Forget the design, it is the technical side that annoying me. And it need sorting out.

Website looks a lot better to me. Plus, people have always complained about difficulties using it, especially Foxes player and buying tickets.

By far the biggest problem with the new site is that, ridiculously, it will not run on mobile platforms. I can't access it on my phone or ipad even when I've got them connected to wifi - the pages just won't load which is a pretty stupid oversight given that more people than ever now use tablets and phones to browse the net.

Pages load OK on my Android-based phone, so maybe it's just Apple mobile platforms that are a problem.

Desktop-wise, I find that it displays OK in my MacOSX browsers (Safari and Firefox) but feels pretty slow. It loads faster in my Windows XP browsers (IE8 and Firefox) but displays poorly, with noticeable jaggies on the serif font. I suspect it's optimised for more recent versions of Windows.
